The trees of the forest sing for #joy #sowandgather

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy; they will sing before the LORD, for he comesPsalm 96:11-13 NIV

Where do you like to travel when you are vacationing? Do you like to return to the same destination or does it vary from trip to trip? What about souvenirs? Do you purchase souvenirs for all your family and friends or do you obtain only one special item from each place?

When my family vacations, we attempt to go to a different place every time. I especially enjoy the variety and am always anxious to see new places. When we travel, we always purchase one singular souvenir. We buy a poster or picture from one of the places we visited to hang on our walls at home. A majority of the pictures are of God’s spectacular creation. We have pictures of beaches, waterfalls, mountains, canyons, trees and even flowers.

I love it!!!

And, as I move from room to room, I am able to gaze upon each picture and remember. I recall the rest, enjoyment, peace and especially the joy that comes from God’s creation. His creation is awe-inspiring and He has given it to us to bring delight and joy.

Your home may not be covered with pictures of creation like mine, but you can begin now to really look at His wonderful gifts. God has given each one of us a blue sky, shining sun, trees just beginning to change color, cooler mornings and fall flowers. I’ve even just experienced a tasty bit of chocolate and some piping hot coffee. His creation truly provides us joy!
