Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV).
Pray every once in a while. That’s what we do. A quick “please, God”, “thank you, God”, or “why, God?” We know the Bible tells us to pray continually. All-day-long. But how?
For the month of September, the contributors here at Sow & Gather will provide insight into our prayer lives. You’ll discover that how we pray, how we learned to pray, and why we pray, looks different for each of us. It’s different for you, too. There’s no right or wrong way to humble ourselves before the Lord in prayer.
In addition to joining us online, please join us for face-to-face community in September and October by participating in the Bible study “Live A Praying Life” by Jennifer Kennedy Dean. The study starts September 8, 2015. You have the option of a Tuesday morning or Wednesday evening class at the First Grapevine campus in Grapevine, Texas. Learn more and register at this link.
Thank you for joining us in this journey of prayer.

Action Item |
Write down one praise and one prayer and put today’s date on the sheet. Place the paper in a safe place and update as God answers your prayer.
Dear Heavenly Father, may I always give thanks and know that every good thing comes from you. May I recognize that you answer every prayer and that I must listen to hear your response. Keep my ears and my heart open for your reply. Amen.
